For reading this week we were learning about how to question the author of the text. For this we needed to choose one of the 5 texts, I chose Te Kura Tuatahi. This book was about the first school of NZ. To question the author we had to... Question the Author (Ask questions about the text) establish authenticity (How credible and authentic is this text?) Maths,

For maths this week we were learning to Use more than one way to find a theoretical probability. Make sensible statements about information with reference to supporting evidence. For this we had to pick six different activities to do in quarantine, then we had to put them into an online spinner wheel which decided for us by spinning it's wheel. Then we had to make a tally chart of the spins. After this we had to write three statements about the chart. Here is my poster.

For Writing this week we were learning to selects words or phrases to enhance meaning and/or mood confidently shape ideas for effect. For this we started to look at some poems and break them down. After we had finished this we had to create our own poem, haiku or limerick. Here is my poem.

For reading this week our goal was to Think while reading, pick up new information, and come up with new ideas and new thinking. For this we had to choose one text to read. I chose to read about underground explorers. In this book they were showing you around bulmer cave in New Zealand. After we read the book we had to write down three things that we learnt, two interesting things and one question or new idea we had about the text. After this we had to create something to show our new learning. Here is what I did.
