In our hub we have been doing Biography's on

Martin Luther king. Jr

Martin Luther King.

Martin Luther king JR was born on the 15 of January 1929 in Atlanta Georgia USA and
was named after his father. Martin went to David T. Elementary school which was segregated.
high school for Martin was at David T. Howard High School and started there when he was only 15 years old,
then went on to Boston University to study medicine and law, and in 1952 meet Coretta Scott and
then a year later married her.

Martin soon strive for racial equality and in 1955 he lead the historic bus boycott in Washington DC
to make bus segregation illegal… Then a year later it became legal for both races to be on the same
bus at the same time.  In 1959 Him and his wife went on a pilgrimage in India to meet Mahatma Gandhi’s
family and at the same time He became co pastor at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church then in a years time
he accepted the role of being a pastor at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church.

In 1964 Martin made history by being the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace award, Then sadly
in 1968 martin was standing outside on his balcony when he was assassinated at 6:01 PM he
was shot by James Earl Ray a Firearm, Martin was sent to St. John's hospital and died at 7:05 PM. Martin
was buried on the 9 of April 1968 at Martin Luther King Jr National historic Park. In 1986 Former president
Ronald Reagan made the twentieth of January Martin Luther King. Jr day a public holiday.

Martin made his own mark in history when in 1964 segregation was made illegal by the supreme
court, no longer were schools, jobs or transport segregated. Martin always Believed In nonviolent Protests
and out of the he got a great change in America.

In Conclusion, I think that martin Luther is great because if wasn’t for his determination and
perseverance Most school’s would be segregated and Racism would continue. To end this biography
I am going to tell you one of his famous quotes,
"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
