I Would you think that such a little doll could make such a  lot of trouble, Well my name’s Jayden and i’m here to tell all about Golliwogs.

A Golliwog is a Fictional Cartoon character from a book called: The Adventures of Two Dutch Dolls and a Golliwog in 1895 by Florence Kate Upton.
The first Golliwog doll was made in America in the 1900’s by James Robertson & Son’s
And on the 100th anniversary They made the first ever girl Golliwog.

Golliwogs were banned by the Nazi’s in 1934 because the thought that  it was an inappropriate doll for young German children to
have, and that the body of the Golliwog made it harder to teach young children to wash

The trendy Golliwog became a very popular Doll in UK and Australian the 1970’s and so were many different varieties of
products including… Golliwog Perfume And even Arnotts chocolate Golliwogs There's even Golliwog butter with the slogan “Golly it’s Good.”

In 2007 In greater manchester Police took two
Golliwogs from a lady’s window
because People claimed that the dolls were offensive
In 2008 a Lady From Stockport greater manchester, said she was arrested for showcasing a Golliwog on her window.
In 2009 carol thatcher said that a coloured french tennis player looked like a golliwog she was also the daughter of and old british prime minister

Nowadays most Golliwog books were taken away from libraries  and less people started buying Golliwogs and they are a racial
hazard in Germany,
Australia, England, Ireland and Greece. Nowadays “wog” is used as a racist word for colored People. but I think that it all
went wrong when Agatha
Christie made and book with a golliwog being hanged on a noose.

From my point of view I think that Golliwogs are a have childrens toy but when adult’s keep it in the attic and your sleeping there and it’s staring at you… that’s kinda creepy, but when a children that’s like five years old then that’s fine. Thank you and goodbye!
